A Landmark Day: SGA, Gen4, and Modis Are Now One Organization

A message from Jordan DiNola, Chief Executive Officer, SGA Dental Partners

To our community, our partners, and friends across dentistry –

I’m excited to share that the merger of Gen4 Dental Partners and Modis Dental Partners with SGA Dental Partners is complete. We are now officially one organization, moving forward together under the SGA Dental Partners banner.

If you’ve followed any of our three organizations, you know this is a landmark moment – for our teams, and for our industry. Together, we now form one of the largest doctor-led dental support platforms in the country, supporting affiliated practices across more than 250 dental sites, over 500 dentists, and 26 states.

Why this matters

At its heart, this combination is about one thing: helping our affiliated practices — and the dedicated clinicians within them — deliver outstanding care to the patients they serve. Bringing three exceptional support organizations together positions us better than ever to live out our mission of improving the lives of  patients, partners, and teams.

Each organization arrives with a genuine strength. SGA brings a proven growth and recruiting engine, with industry-leading doctor retention. Gen4 brings a deep commitment to supporting doctors’ professional development through mentorship and coaching. Modis brings leadership in helping doctors deliver modern, patient-centered implant and specialty care.

Each is powerful in its own right. Together, they give our teams greater support, deeper resources for licensed clinicians, and more room to grow –  which strengthens the practices we support and benefits the patients in their care.

A word of gratitude

Reaching this milestone took an extraordinary effort – from the teams who support our practices at a high level every day, to the doctors who develop and mentor those around them, to the operators and colleagues who carried a complex transaction across the finish line. To everyone across SGA, Gen4, and Modis: this milestone is yours as much as anyone’s, and while there is plenty of work still ahead of us, today is worth pausing to appreciate the moment.

I also want to thank our partners at Thurston Group, whose conviction in doctor-led dentistry and steady support made this combination possible.

 What comes next

The work of becoming one organization is well underway, and we’ll approach it the way we approach everything – carefully, thoughtfully, and with our practices and their patients at the center. You’ll see the best of what each of our organizations does well carried forward into one platform.

I have never been more proud of this team, or more confident in what lies ahead. Thank you for being part of this community – and for everything we’ll build together from here.
